Flawless Mugs: High & Low Skincare Items
By crystal » 1 year ago » Facial, FLAWLESS, Flawless Mugs, Uncategorized

I have always been an advocate of taking care of your skin. My love of skincare stems from me having horrible skin in my teens and early 20’s. Nothing I did worked until I started paying attention to what my skin was reacting to. When things (and products) started to click I became open to trying more products so for the past 20 or so years I have become a guinea pig for new things. I fully intend to share my loves and ughs (dislikes) with my followers.

NOTE: I can ONLY give you my opinion. What works for me may not work for you or vice versa.

Let’s start with the LOWS

Recently I had a mix up at CVS  so the manager compensated me with a receipt that gave me $10 CVS bucks. I used that to purchase Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream $19. I’ve been stalking this product for a while but couldn’t see myself spending that much for a skincare product in CVS.

I also grabbed two Peach Slices masks- Shrink Pores $2.49 and Firm $2.49. I started wearing these masks at the beginning of this year. LOVE them. They are quick treatments with immediate results and the best part about them is that they are CHEAP.

This last purchase from CVS caught my eye as I was leaving the aisle. It’s the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask, Purify & Mattify $13.49. I’m obsessed with any skincare that has clay, mint or Eucalyptus. I love the way my skin feels after using products that contain those 3 ingredients.  When I saw that Eucalyptus was a main ingredient I grabbed the mask and headed to the checkout counter.

Sephora Lovers Here Comes the HIGHS!

Sephora recently gave their Rouge clients $25 of any purchase of $75 or more. I kindly obliged and took them up on this offer. First up, the Avocado Sleeping Mask $45 from Glow Recipe.  I am obsessed with their Watermelon Sleeping Mask $45 & their Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer $39.  Both products worked great for me over the summer. I wanted to try the Avocado Sleeping Mask, because the winter months are rough on my skin and any extra moisture is welcomed.

Second & Third on the HIGHS list are both from Laneige. The Water Sleeping Mask $25 and the Lip Sleeping Mask $20. I have heard amazing things about both masks from my homegirl/fellow blogger Summer Terry. So  decided to take the plunge and purchase both. I am super excited to try them and will get back to you ladies about how they are working out.

As you can see-all my products are centered around sealing in and maintaining moisture. Especially in the winter months. Even though I don’t and won’t solely depend on facial products to help me with moisture. The keys are to lay off of caffeine and drink loads of water to keep me hydrated from within. I will give y’all an update in a couple of weeks of what products we are keeping and what we are trashing!

Bonus Item

Because I haven’t blogged in a minute you have no idea about my obsession with Fenty Beauty but you will soon find out. I recently received a $100 gift card and used it on Fenty Beauty’s Limited Edition Match Stix By the Dozen $129. That means 12 Match Stix cost me a grand total of $29. I will take it! I love the formula of the Match Stix so this limited edition bundle was a must-have for me. Although these limited edition Match Stix are not magnetic, they are smaller which means they are perfect to throw in your make-up bag.
